...THERE IS AN INCREASING RISK FOR FLOODING ACROSS PUERTO RICO AND
THE US VIRGIN ISLANDS...

Deep moisture and favorable upper level dynamics will bring
periods of showers and thunderstorms across the local islands
during the next several days, particularly on Friday and into the
upcoming weekend.

Based on the latest guidance, the most likely time period for the
heaviest rainfall activity is Friday afternoon into Saturday.
The areas most likely to receive the highest rainfall
accumulations are portions of the south, southeast and east
sections of Puerto Rico, as well as Vieques, Culebra and the US
Virgin Islands.

Therefore, there is an increasing risk for ponding of water,
flooding of urban areas, roads and small streams. Life threatening
flash flooding and mudslides are possible as well. Some rivers will
likely overflow their banks. A Flash Flood Watch will likely be
issued on Thursday.

This product will be updated as needed.
